Purus Terrae is Latin in origin, when translated to English means “Pure Earth”.

We want our name to evoke the basic origins and pureness which is indicative of our passion for natural products and caring for the environment.

The initiative is to promote products that are derived from ingredients and materials that are only found in nature without the addition of harmful chemicals, additives and dyes. Natural products that are beneficial to our well-being and are harmless to the environment. Natural products that are made sustainably and responsibly.

Our focus is on eco conscious artisanal products from local businesses around the world. Most of whom, source their materials locally and still create by hand in their authentic, traditional way just as it was done through the centuries. They take pride in their craft, even foregoing manufacturing efficiencies brought on by technology in order to continue the old traditional methods of production. Finding and featuring these distant, local artisans not only will encourage and help them continue making their craft but will also economically help their communities. Some of the sales proceeds are donated to a local charity.

It is our mission to be in constant search for these special artisanal shops, to introduce and feature their products and to make them readily accessible to you.
